AB Motorsport Rally - 2009
A warm welcome to Matlock Motor Club’s AB Motorsport Rally, sponsored once again by Andy Baker of AB Motorsport. Our sincere thanks go to Andy and his team for supporting ‘grass roots’ motorsport.
This event is well established in the local road rally calendar and, as with all Matlock Road Rallies, it should provide an enjoyable yet demanding route and no-nonsense navigation. This year sees again some interesting route variations using a few of Derbyshire’s challenging Peak District roads coupled with tricky lanes in South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire including approximately eight miles of unsurfaced roads.
This year the event is a round of three Regional Championships as well as being the final round of the exciting EMAMC Peak Trophy. So there should be much to play for!
Andy Manston of M & H Photography will be covering the event and each crew member will receive a souvenir photograph (this is included in your entry fee).
Following our success in previous years in raising substantial amounts to local charities we are operating a similar venture on this years ‘AB’. The chosen charity will be the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance – do please try to make a contribution to this worthy cause when you complete your entry.
Finally we will need many marshals for this event – if we don’t get them then unfortunately some sections may need to get scrubbed. So please help us to help you by nominating one (or more) marshals on your entry form. Thanks in anticipation.
